Self Employment

It has been said, "Trust is something you must have within before you can have it anywhere else." There is no better person to invest in than ourselves. It is a proven fact that you will work harder and smarter when the outcome is in your power to affect. Thousands of people are taking the risk of believing in themselves!

Can a person really be trustworthy if that person is not true to their own self. Being self-employed is about trusting yourself to succeed! The American Dream is founded in the promise of being able to self-direct your life and future through entrepreneurial activity.

Self-employed people are the backbone of our society. They sometimes enjoy advantages over those who are not self-employed. The biggest advantage is that a self-employed person gets to direct their time as they see best.

Interesting post. I want to run a business soon, so I'll have to keep this in mind. I know it’ll be challenging, but I’m up for it and will appreciate all the help I could get. Instead of starting a business, I've been thinking about buying a business. Any suggestions? Advice? Thanks.

@Rachael -- There are a lot of resources you can use on the Internet. I suggest BizTrader.com, which is an online global marketplace where you can buy a business, or even sell a business. It's also a good place to find professional help like a broker, lawyer, accountant, lender, etc.

Then there are the local small business groups in your area that are worth joining. They're a good place to network.

Good luck!
